Biography
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia State University under the guidance of Dr. Yanqing Zhang, supported by the Brains & Behavior Fellowship. My academic journey also includes an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering (Autonomous), India.
My research centers on the development of machine learning algorithms to assess the mental health status of Twitter users. I have created interactive systems that analyze tweets, compute a Happiness Index, and visualize sentiment across U.S. states. These models integrate external benchmarks such as WalletHub data and utilize techniques from sentiment analysis, text mining, and hedonometrics.
With a strong passion for interdisciplinary education and mentoring, I strive to inspire students to engage in impactful research. Several of the student teams I have advised have received accolades, including the "Best Undergraduate Project" award.
